I just spent a few days up in the Cariboo at an awesome guest ranch.
Observing the eagles nests while riding horses on the trail, calling
back to the loons while canoeing on Spring Lake, singing while
enjoying the warmth of a campfire at sunset, and gazing up in awe at
an infinite space of stars... Each experience was an exhilarating part
of being refreshed by God's natural and expansive creation. I
returned to face the music of my busy employment in the city inspired
by the memory of a place where one can still breathe freely in a
serene and tranquil world.

Spring Lake Ranch is a piece of heaven! My best friend is from Prince George and I'm from Langley so we decided to meet halfway for a girls getaway weekend - we couldn't have picked a better place for rest, relaxation and a time to catch up. I'll definitely be visiting again!

Thank-you to the Barkowsky Family for the wonderful weekend getaway we had with our three children ages 8, 11, and 14. Everything from the trail rides to the campfires and canoeing in your tranquil setting make Spring Lake Ranch a Paradise right here on earth!! Our wonderful memories will last for a very long time!

We have visited Spring Lake Ranch many times over the years - sometimes with our children and their young families and sometimes with just the two of us. Our stays have always been relaxing and fun for all ages. Each time we've been able to spend quality time together away from television and computer games.
We've chatted by the camp fire and sung old songs together till the small children were asleep. Our grandsons loved the sleigh ride and watching all the horses gallop. Our sons and daughter-in-laws were delighted with breathing in the clean air and seeing the moonlight nights. We could see every picture in the stars and no loud honking noises or sirens screeching to keep you awake. Just a silent night with the occassional cry of the coyotes to sing you to sleep. Each morning with the calls of the loons, we awoke with sunshine beaming off the crystal clear lake to welcome us to a refreshing swim or a couples quiet canoe ride while grandma babysat.
Our favourite memories have been biking around the lake and seeing every kind of bird you could think of. So, while we got our exercise we could see every piece of nature. One time, we saw a family of sea otters protecting their young. They would jump off of the logs and dive into the water and then stop on their hind legs posing for the camera. In Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter, Spring Lake Ranch is the place to go to relax and enjoy a family vacation. We give Spring Lake Ranch a excellent rating and highly recommend going there.
